There are many factors that affect sun fastness, mainly the influence of dyeing concentration. The sun fastness of the dyes displayed on the color cards provided by dye companies, including “Dye Index”, is measured at a dye depth of 1/1, that is, the dye concentration is about 20g/L. – Data measured on medium-colored fabrics of 30 g/L, light-colored fabrics will definitely not reach this level. Some companies’ color cards provide 2-3 dyeing concentrations, such as 1/6, 1/1, 2/1 wait. Moreover, the measured data will be different for different sun-resistant testers, different light sources and different humidity. Therefore, when choosing dyes for light-colored dyes, you cannot rely solely on the data provided by the color card. You must select dyes after actual proofing.
